About

Hi, I’m Jackie.

Yoga found me at a time in my life when I was searching for something deeper than physical fitness. What began as a personal practice became a journey of healing, self-discovery, and transformation—one that ultimately led me to become a certified yoga teacher.

With a background in group fitness, barre, and movement education, I bring a unique blend of strength, mobility, mindfulness, and heart to every class I teach. My goal is to create a welcoming space where students can move with intention, reconnect with themselves, and discover that they are capable of more than they ever imagined.

I believe yoga is for every body—not because you can touch your toes or stand on your head, but because it teaches us how to meet ourselves exactly where we are. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening an existing practice, you’ll be encouraged to move, breathe, grow, and remember who you are.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me spending time with family, chasing sunsets, practicing inversions, and embracing the beautiful messiness of life’s next chapter.

Strong. Grounded. Authentic. Always becoming.

Welcome! I’m So Glad You’re Here

If you’ve found your way here, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here, and I thought the best way to begin this blog was by introducing myself.

My name is Jackie, and movement has become so much more than exercise—it’s become a way of life.

My fitness journey began in 2019 when I became certified to teach Les Mills BodyPump®. What started as a passion for strength training quickly grew into a love for helping others discover what their bodies are capable of.

From there, I continued my education with SoulBody Fitness Global, earning certifications in SoulBody Barre, Barre Unhitched, Yoga Sculpt, and Restore. Each program shaped me in different ways, teaching me not only about strength and movement but also about balance, recovery, mindfulness, and the power of community.

One of the highlights of my time with SoulBody Fitness Global was having the incredible opportunity to travel to Toronto and co-present at Canfitpro alongside Program Director Tara Payne-Wilson. It was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by spending time with SoulBody Fitness Creator and Owner Stacey Seward Vandiver and fellow director Lyndsay Syverson. Being surrounded by such passionate leaders in the fitness industry inspired me to continue growing, learning, and sharing movement with others.

For several years, I had the privilege of teaching at GoodLife Fitness, where I grew as both an instructor and a person. Today, I’m proud to teach at MOVATI Athletic, where I continue sharing my passion for movement while building my own yoga and wellness business.

Most recently, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, with Higher Love Yoga Academy with Kristen Kulak, a milestone that feels like the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Yoga has become one of the greatest passions in my life. It has challenged me, grounded me, and carried me through some of life’s highest highs and lowest lows. It has taught me resilience, presence, compassion, and the importance of coming home to ourselves. I’m incredibly excited to share that passion through my classes, workshops, and this community.

Outside the studio, I’m a proud mom of three amazing children and grandmother to a beautiful little girl, who continue to inspire me every day. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me outdoors—hiking, paddle boarding, or exploring new trails. Nature is where I recharge, reflect, and reconnect, and it’s often where I find the inspiration I bring back into my classes.

My goal has never been to create the “perfect” class. Instead, I hope to create a space where people feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and accepted exactly as they are. Whether you’re stepping onto your mat for the first time or returning to a familiar practice, I believe movement has the power to help us reconnect with ourselves—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This blog will be a place where I’ll share reflections, wellness tips, movement ideas, inspiration from the trail and the yoga mat, and lessons I’ve learned along the way. My hope is that something you read here encourages you to pause, breathe deeply, move with intention, and remember your own strength.

Thank you for being here. I’m so excited to have you on this journey with me.

Remember who you are. Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step, every breath, and every challenge is shaping the person you’re becoming.
