Welcome! I’m So Glad You’re Here
If you’ve found your way here, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here, and I thought the best way to begin this blog was by introducing myself.
My name is Jackie, and movement has become so much more than exercise—it’s become a way of life.
My Group Fitness journey began in 2019 when I became certified to teach Les Mills BodyPump at GoodLife Canada. What started as a passion for strength training quickly grew into a love for helping others discover what their bodies are capable of and giving them a memorable experience to help build healthy habits.
From there, I continued my education with SoulBody Fitness Global, earning certifications in SoulBody Barre, Barre Unhitched, Yoga Sculpt, and Restore. Each program shaped me in different ways, teaching me not only about strength and movement but also about balance, recovery, mindfulness, and the power of community. I was able to work with Soulbody Fitness Director Tara Payne- Wilson for several years, teaming teaching the new choreography for new instructors to receive quarterly.
One of the highlights of my time with SoulBody Fitness Global was having the incredible opportunity to travel to Toronto and co-present YogaSculpt at Canfitpro in 2022 alongside Program Director Tara. It was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by spending time with SoulBody creator and owner Stacey Seward Vandiver and director of Soulbody Fitness Cardio Sculpt, Lyndsay Syverson. Being surrounded by such passionate leaders in the fitness industry inspired me to continue growing, learning, and sharing movement with others.
For several years, I had the privilege of teaching at GoodLife Fitness, where I grew as both an instructor and a person. Today, I’m proud to teach at MOVATI Athletic, where I continue sharing my passion for movement while building my own yoga and wellness business.
Most recently, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, a milestone that feels like the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Yoga has become one of the greatest passions in my life. It has challenged me, grounded me, and carried me through some of life’s highest highs and lowest lows. It has taught me resilience, presence, compassion, and the importance of coming home to ourselves. I’m incredibly excited to share that passion through my classes, workshops, and this community.
Outside the studio, I’m a proud mom of three amazing children, who continue to inspire me every day. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me outdoors—hiking, paddle boarding, or exploring new trails. Nature is where I recharge, reflect, and reconnect, and it’s often where I find the inspiration I bring back into my classes.
My goal has never been to create the “perfect” class. Instead, I hope to create a space where people feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and accepted exactly as they are. Whether you’re stepping onto your mat for the first time or returning to a familiar practice, I believe movement has the power to help us reconnect with ourselves—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This blog will be a place where I’ll share reflections, wellness tips, movement ideas, inspiration from the trail and the yoga mat, and lessons I’ve learned along the way. My hope is that something you read here encourages you to pause, breathe deeply, move with intention, and remember your own strength.
Thank you for being here. I’m so excited to have you on this journey with me.
Remember who you are. Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step, every breath, and every challenge is shaping the person you’re becoming.
— Jackie

Beneath the expectations, the self-doubt, the busy schedules, and the challenges of everyday life is the person you’ve always been—strong, capable, resilient, and enough.
Thank you for taking this journey with me. I hope something here inspires you to breathe a little deeper, move a little more freely, and reconnect with yourself.
Remember who you are.
Why “Remember Who You Are”?
People often ask why those words mean so much to me. The truth is, yoga has taught me that we’re not trying to become someone new—we’re simply peeling back the layers that life places on us.Every practice, every breath, every challenge on the mat is an opportunity ll to come home to ourselves. That’s what I hope to share with every class I teach and every blog I write: a reminder that the strength, courage, and peace you’re looking for have been within you all along.
